Zoe Foster Blake’s ‘Goconuts’ Go-To Skincare Event

As many of you probably know, I am a big fan of the wonderful Zoe Foster Blake (blogger/author/beauty editor/skincare entrepeneur/wife of the hilarious Hamish Blake/mother of the adorable Sonny/all-round awesome chick).  Not surprisingly, lots of other people love her work too, so when this gal throws a party, tickets sell out fast!  I was distraught (no exaggeration) when I missed out on tickets to Zoe’s most recent book launch, so as soon as I found out about her ‘Goconuts’ Go-To Skincare event via Instagram, I booked two tickets stat!  I decided to take my lovely friend Jackie as my plus one (you may remember her from this post) as part of her birthday present.

The event was held on Friday 22nd August in the beautiful Alto Room on the top floor of The Langham Melbourne.

From left to right: the delicious complimentary cocktails; the raffle; the live Instagram feed that was projected onto the wall (yep that's Jackie and I up there!) and the lovely ladies socialising in the Alto Room.

Other than an appearance from the wonderful Zoe herself, the most exciting part of the event was that it was the first time that you could try-before-you-buy the Go-To Skincare Range, because they are usually only available online.

Then the woman we all wanted to see was welcomed to the stage by The Langham’s lovely Fiona!  Zoe and her
beauty therapist Brooke from Me Skin and Body answered all our questions about skincare tips and tricks.

After the Q & A (and scoffing one of the INCREDIBLE cupcakes pictured above) I treated myself to the Go-To Skincare superstar moisturiser the ‘Very Useful Face Cream.’  I have been using it ever since the event and I adore it!  I definitely plan to invest in some more Go-To goodies soon.

My purchase from the evening. I am weak and the lure of beautiful, can-usually-only-purchase-online products is strong!

After the event, Zoe was very sweet to socialise with all her lovely Goconuts, but as I am lucky to have already met her last year, I decided to let other lucky ladies have the chance.

The delightful goodie bag

When it was time to leave (sad face), we were all treated to a mini Connoisseur Ice Cream and a goodie bag. The goodies we were received were: a Go-To Fortune cookie, a Go-To nail file, the Go-To Lips! lip balm and a $25 gift voucher to Me Skin and Body to put towards a treatment of our choice.

It was an excellent, fun, girly event and Jackie and I had a wonderful time.  If you’re keen to try out the Go-To range, you’re in luck because Zoe is currently on a Westfield Tour sharing Go-To with the world!  If a teeny-tiny part of you is interested in checking out the range, I highly recommend you shake your tail feathers and get on down there!  Details are as follows:

MELBOURNE, DONCASTER WESTFIELD [near Guess]
THURSDAY OCT 16 – SUNDAY OCT 19 (Zoe will be there Fri/Sat 12.30pm – 1.30pm and Sunday 2pm – 3pm).

BRISBANE, CARINDALE WESTFIELD [near Lorna Jane]
THURSDAY OCT 23 – SUNDAY OCT 26 (follow Go-To Skincare on Instagram to find out Zoe’s appearance times when they are announced.)

Have you tried any of the Go-To Skincare range? What did you think?

Till next time,

Claire
