The Enbacci Skincare Bloggers’ Event
A few months ago I was invited to the Enbacci Skincare Bloggers’ event, which was organised to showcase their Vitis Vinifera Rejuvenating 3-Step System and Basics Range. I had never heard of the brand before so I was excited to see and experience some new skincare products. The event was held in a suite at Melbourne’s beautiful Crown Metropol which was transformed into a function room for the day. My fellow bloggers and I were served delicious canapés and drinks while the lovely Yong-Li from Enbacci presented the products to us.
During Yong-Li’s presentation, she passed the products, a bowl of water and a towel around the room so that we could all try the products on our hands. It was really great to be able to feel and smell the products, and, personally, I loved giving my hands some much-needed TLC! While we pampered ourselves, we learnt that Enbacci is an Australian family business and they endeavour to use as many natural ingredients as possible. Several of Yong-Li’s family members have sensitive skin and she wanted to create something that they could use! So the idea behind Enbacci, is a simple skincare range that anyone can use. For the people out their that are overwhelmed by the broad range of skincare available, I bet that’s music to their ears! Yong-Li’s Father was one of the caterers of the event and if his youthful appearance is anything to go by – these products do wonders! We also learnt that one of the main ingredients in Enbacci skincare is Vitis Vinifera, also known as grape stem cells. Stem cells are hugely popular in anti-aging skincare at the moment and, according to Enbacci, grape stem cells “have been found to be particularly effective in reducing the skin’s appearance of environmental stresses…and the first signs of ageing.” The Enbacci 3-Step System contains the Rejuvenating Gel cleanser, the Rejuvenating Essence (toner mist) and the Rejuvenating Essential Créme (moisturiser). The simple 3-Step System should be used twice a day. The Enbacci Basics Range contains some extra pampering products including: a Microdermabrasion Exfoliating Scrub, Detoxifying Clay Mask, Pore Minimiser, Moisturising Hand & Nail Cream and Brightening Hand & Nail Cream.
After Yong-Li’s presentation, we were introduced to a beauty therapist named Chelsea whose salon Pampered Perfection has recently started stocking Enbacci products. Chelsea spoke to us about why she believes in Enbacci and what she likes about the products. At the end of the event, we were given a very generous gift bag which contained the Enbacci 3-Step System, a voucher for an Enbacci facial at Chelsea’s salon ‘Pampered Perfection’ and an information booklet about the Enbacci products. This was a really lovely event and we all left feeling happy and very spoilt!
My Review of the 3-Step System
Firstly, the Enbacci 3-Step range is very well dressed! In sleek, clear plastic blue bottles and tubs with white text, they have a very high-end look. As Yong-Li mentioned, they chose plastic over glass so the products could be travel-friendly, which is also a big plus. The products are excellent quality too and although I have dry, sensitive skin, they all seemed to agree with me.
I knew I was going to like the Rejuvenating Gel Cleanser ($64.00 AUD on the Enbacci website) because gel cleansers are usually my favourite form of cleansers. Enbacci’s Gel Cleanser foams lightly and is good for removing foundation and the first layer of eye make-up. I found that I still needed to use an eye make-up remover to shift tougher products like waterproof mascara. Now that it’s winter, this cleanser sometimes leaves my even-drier-than-usual skin feeling a little tight, so I think it is a warmer month cleanser for me.
I love mist toners so I really enjoyed the Rejuvenating Essence ($69.00 AUD on the Enbacci website.) In fact, I probably used a little too much of it because out of the three products I used the Rejuvenating Essence up first. It had a fresh floral scent which reminded me of a Garnier range that I used to use as a teenager. It absorbed into my skin quickly and was very refreshing.
At the event, Yong-Li told us that the Rejuvenating Essential Créme ($103.00 AUD on the Enbacci website) is designed to be a day and night cream for all skin types. Unfortunately, as I have dry skin, this moisturiser was a nice, light day cream but definitely not rich enough for a night cream.
In conclusion, I would probably repurchase the Gel Cleanser and Rejuvenating Essence and combine them with my own day and night creams. Although I understand that Enbacci have only created one moisturiser to keep their range simple, I think that a lot more people would be drawn to the brand if they also created a day cream with SPF 30+ sun protection and a richer night cream.
